Editorial policy

How the work is made accountable.

Our standards for authorship, evidence, review, corrections, and the responsible use of technology.

01

Human editorial responsibility

CDM Editorial is accountable for what appears under its name. Tools may assist research organisation, transcription, drafting, or production, but a person must review the argument, factual claims, examples, and final wording before publication.

02

Evidence and attribution

Material third-party research, data, and ideas should be attributed to their original source. Editorial judgment and CDM operating frameworks are identified as such and should not be presented as universal standards.

03

Conflicts and commercial work

Commercial relationships that could materially influence an article should be disclosed. Editorial coverage is not purchased through advertising or contribution fees.

04

Corrections

Substantive errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Updated articles should retain a modified date when the meaning, evidence, or recommendation materially changes.
